I’ve been a bit of a slacker when it comes to writing posts and responding to comments and whatnot. School can be quite evil to me. That’s probably the most overused blogging excuse in the book, but I don’t care. I’m using it anyways.
On a completely unrelated note, I would like to discuss something amazing with you. That amazing thing? Jell-O cups. Yes, Jell-O cups. They serve them about once a week in our cafeteria, and I wait for that day all week long. This week’s Jell-O cup day was yesterday, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it. I can’t normally eat cafeteria food due to my allergies, so those little cups of awesome are really all I buy. They’re normally cherry-flavored and topped with a little dollop of whipped cream, and if you shake them just slightly they’ll do a little dance for you. Yes, that’s right. They dance.
Is there anything more awesome than Jell-O? It’s easy to make and incredibly fun to play with. I’ll sit at the lunch table and repeatedly poke my Jell-O cup just for the heck of it. Every time it jiggles oh-so slightly the whipped cream on top follows suit, and they unite in a happy dessert dance. Can you tell that I’m easily amused? In fact, I kind of feel sad when I finally eat it, almost like I’m eating a friend instead of a cup of gelatin. I mean, after playing with something for so long you’re bound to bond with it. Or, uh, maybe not. Maybe I’m just special in the sense that I make friends with my dessert (and then proceed to blog about it). Or… maybe I’m just special in general.
So, what’s your favorite cafeteria dessert? Usually mine just serves fruit in a cup, so I always look forward to Jell-O day. Why? Jell-O day owns. End of story.
